Young Painters Workshop

The Cordoba Cultural Café in Tal Afar has been working for over a year with a group of young painters to develop their drawing skills, as these young painters have diverse talents in various forms of painting such as charcoal, paints, watercolours and acrylics. Their latest regular workshop lasted for four days from 14 to 17 August 2023. During this time, they conducted a workshop on how to use art in the peace building process, how to fight hatred and how to use raw materials such as white cork, newspapers, unused paper scraps and aluminium pieces. The aim was to transform these raw materials into works of art instead of disposing of them, thereby reducing environmental damage.
