Supporting the Tal Afar Academy football team

With the support of CPI and under the supervision of the Tal Afar Forum and training staff, Tal Afar Youth Academy won another title in the District Academies Football Championship (11/9/2023 – 14/10/2023).

In a match that saw Tal Afar Academy on their way to a comfortable victory over Al-Aniq Academy in the final of the Mosul Academies Championship, sponsored by the Sunni Endowment Directorate in Nineveh, Tal Afar Academy led by three goals to nil in the first half.

The match ended with Tal Afar Academy winning by three goals to two to secure the championship title. Gifts and prizes were then distributed to both teams. The Tal Afar player (Saif Majid) was named the best player of the tournament, while the top scorer title went to our player (Mustafa Hassan). In addition to the trophy, the Tal Afar Academy received 18 sets of sports kit and a football.

CPI has been supporting Tal Afar’s Academy football team since the opening match of the championship, which was held in Erbil – Bhraka on 11/9/2023, where Tal Afar’s team won against Duhok Academy.
