Josoor’s Camp in Mosul

In partnership with CPI, Masalla and PAX, Josoor Organisation organised a youth camp on 28 October 2023 for young people from Tal Afar district, including its centre, outskirts and surrounding villages. The camp brought together young people from Turkmen, Arab and Kurdish communities.

The camp included a tour of the Old City, the Nouri Mosque, the Hadba Minaret and the Heritage House to learn about the history and culture of the Mosul community. The group then headed to the forests for a session on the role of youth in promoting social cohesion, spreading peace and combating hate speech.

The Cordoba Cultural Café team briefed the young people on the activities of CPI – Geneva and its mission in Iraq. The briefing discussed the role of youth in promoting social cohesion and spreading peace.
