Khader Elias Festival

The Khader Elias Holiday is a religious holiday celebrated by Iraqis every year in February and has recently been inscribed on the Intangible Cultural Heritage List. It corresponds to the arrival of spring in February each year, and it’s also known as “the holiday of nature’s fertility and the arrival of blessings”. In coordination with the Talafar Municipality, Cordoba Cultural Café contributed to the Khader Elias Festival on 22 February 2023. The people of Sinjar were invited to participate in the festival in order to revive and strengthen relations between the Turkmen and Yazidi communities.
ساهم مقهى قرطبة الثقافي في 22 فبراير 2023، بالتنسيق مع بلدية تلعفر، في مهرجان الخضر إلياس، وهو عيد ديني يحتفل به العراقيون كل عام ويدرج على قائمة التراث الثقافي غير المادي. ودُعي أهالي سنجار للمشاركة في المهرجان من أجل إحياء وتعزيز العلاقات بين التركمان واليزيديين.
Le Café culturel de Cordoue a contribué le 22 février 2023, en coordination avec la municipalité de Talafar, au festival Khader Elias, une fête religieuse célébrée chaque année par les Irakiens et inscrite sur la liste du patrimoine culturel immatériel. Les habitants de Sinjar ont été invités à participer au festival afin de raviver et de renforcer les relations entre les communautés turkmènes et yazidies.
