Constructive of Alternative Narratives in Nigeria
Within the framework of the new project supported by the Swiss FDFA, entitled “Promoting Social Cohesion and the Dissemination of Constructive Alternative Narratives in Northern Nigeria”, which started in March 2023, CPI’s implementing partner, Dar al Andalus Center (DAAC), organised a series of workshops in June 2023 focusing on the promotion of inter-faith dialogue. The aim is to create a dialogue between the Muslim and Christian communities among youth and women in order to contribute to a better inter/intra religious knowledge. Two workshops, which brought together 50 young people and their teachers from Muslim and Christian communities, provided space for the creation of interfaith peace clubs, training on early warning mechanisms and exchanges on “interfaith and peace”. Two further workshops were organised with gatekeepers from the same communities to ensure sustainability and empowerment of key gatekeepers in promoting interfaith relations. Understanding each other’s views and values in Taraba and Adamawa states will help to consolidate social cohesion and promote alternative narratives to extremist messages.
سرديات بديلة بنّاءة في نيجيريا
في إطار المشروع الجديد المدعوم من طرف وزارة الخارجية السويسرية، بعنوان “تعزيز التماسك المجتمعي ونشر السرديات البديلة البنّاءة في شمال نيجيريا”، والذي بدأ في مارس 2023، نظم الشريك المنفذ لـلمعهد، مركز دار الأندلس، سلسلة من ورش العمل في يونيو 2023 مع التركيز على تعزيز الحوار بين الأديان. الهدف هو إطلاق حوار بين المجتمعات الإسلامية والمسيحية بين الشباب والنساء من أجل المساهمة في معرفة دينية أفضل بين وداخل الديانات. وقد وفّرت ورشتا العمل اللاتي جمعتا 50 شابًا ومعلميهم من المجتمعات الإسلامية والمسيحية، مساحة لإنشاء نوادي السلام بين الأديان، والتدريب على آليات الإنذار المبكر والتبادلات حول “الأديان والسلام”. كما تمّ تنظيم ورشتي عمل أخريين مع حراس البوابة من نفس المجتمعات لضمان استدامة وتمكين حراس البوابة الرئيسيين في تعزيز العلاقات بين الأديان. سيساعد فهم وجهات نظر وقِيَم الطرف الآخر في ولايتي تارابا وأداماوا على ترسيخ التماسك المجتمعي وتعزيز سرديات بديلة للخطابات المتطرفة.
Récits alternatifs constructifs au Nigéria
Dans le cadre du nouveau projet soutenu par le DFAE suisse, intitulé « Promouvoir la cohésion sociale et la diffusion de récits alternatifs constructifs dans le nord du Nigeria », lancé en mars 2023, le partenaire de mise en œuvre de CPI, le Centre Dar al Andalus, a organisé en juin 2023 une série d’ateliers axés sur la promotion du dialogue interreligieux. L’objectif est de créer un dialogue entre les communautés musulmanes et chrétiennes parmi les jeunes et les femmes afin de contribuer à une meilleure connaissance inter/intra religieuse. Deux ateliers rassemblant 50 jeunes et leurs enseignants issus de communautés musulmanes et chrétiennes ont permis de créer un club interconfessionnel pour la paix, de dispenser une formation sur le mécanisme d’alerte précoce et d’échanger sur le thème « Interreligieux et paix ». Deux autres ateliers ont été organisés rassemblant les leaders et personnes influentes de ces mêmes communautés pour favoriser la durabilité et le leadership local au sujet de la promotion des relations interconfessionnelles. La compréhension des points de vue et des valeurs de l’autre dans les États de Taraba et d’Adamawa contribuera consolider la cohésion sociale et à promouvoir des discours alternatifs aux messages extrémistes.
