On 26–27 May 2025, Baku (Azerbaijan) hosted the 3rd International Conference on Combating Islamophobia to mark the International Day dedicated to this cause.

The event brought together public and political figures, religious leaders, representatives of international organizations and media outlets from almost 40 countries.

CPI’s Board Member and Senior Advisor, Mr Alistair Davison, attended the conference and moderated a session entitled “The Institutionalization of Anti-Muslim Legislation in Europe: How Rhetoric and Radicalization Fuel Islamophobic Sentiments”.

This session shed light on how legal frameworks and public narratives can normalize the discrimination and stigmatization of Muslim communities.

By participating in this event, Cordoba Peace Institute reaffirmed its commitment to promoting mutual respect between communities, combating all forms of exclusion and building bridges through interfaith and intercultural dialogue and diapraxis.
