Seminar on “Perspectives for political change in Algeria»

The Centre d’Etudes de la Paix de la Fondation Cordoue [1] has vom13 in Geneva. to 15 November 2008, a symposium on ” prospects for political change in Algeria » organized. The objective of this symposium was to take stock of the current situation and to deal thoroughly with the possibilities of creating a rule of law, the Algerians guarantees dignity and freedom by political forces that escape the political pressure and making use of nonviolent methods.
Several political figures, trade unionists, Algerian journalists and intellectuals from various circles have participated in this meeting, especially, Mr Abdelhamid Mehri, Lahouari Addi, Abbas Aroua, Djamel Benchenouf, Ahmed Benmohammed, Mourad Dhina, Malik Djoudi, woman Nacéra Ghozlane, Saâd Lounès, Rachid Malaoui, Rachid Mesli, Saïd Morsi, Youcef Nedjadi, Yacine Saadi, Salaheddine Sidhoum and Mohamed-Larbi Zitout.
The Colloquium was followed by a public panel discussion on the same subject, in which many Algerians and observers who participated are interested in Algeria and several journalists. The questions asked during the conference based in the majority on the seriousness of the situation in Algeria. The colloquium has been sealed by the beifolgende communiqué.
communiqué Invited by the Centre d’Etudes de la Paix de la Fondation Cordoue [1] Algerian personalities, especially, Mr Abdelhamid Mehri, Lahouari Addi, Abbas Aroua, Djamel Benchenouf, Mourad Dhina, Malik Djoudi, Saâd, Lounès, Rachid Mesli, Youcef Nedjadi, Yacine Saadi, Salaheddine Sidhoum and Mohamed-Larbi Zitout, participated in a colloquium to consider the current situation in Algeria carefully, and to discuss the prospects of a political change in this country. The above-mentioned figures are agreed on:
They support the initiatives that require this change and call for so that these initiatives, at all levels and in all segments of society, increase. They confirm their confidence in the ability of the Algerian people to excel to long-running crisis and to build a state of law, have sacrificed themselves for the generations of martyrs and activists.
