Training Workshop for The Ministry of Peshmerga

Erbil, 7-8 March 2023

A training workshop on International Humanitarian Law and Islamic Law was held in Erbil on 7-8 March. More than 33 Peshmerga officers from different governorates of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq participated in the training. The training, which consisted of presentations, hypothetical exercises and discussions, focused in particular on how to deal professionally and respectfully with the affected families of missing persons.

نظم المعهد ورشة عمل تدريبية حول القانون الدولي الإنساني والشريعة الإسلامية في أربيل في الفترة من 7 إلى 8 مارس 2023. وشارك في التدريب أكثر من 33 ضابطا من البيشمركة من مختلف محافظات إقليم كردستان العراق. شمل التدريب عروضًا وتمارين ومناقشات، وركّز بشكل خاص على كيفية التعامل بشكل مهني واحترام مع عائلات المفقودين المتضررة.

CPI a organisé un atelier de formation sur le droit international humanitaire et le droit islamique à Erbil les 7 et 8 mars. Plus de 33 officiers peshmerga de différents gouvernorats de la région du Kurdistan irakien ont participé à la formation. La formation, qui comprenait des présentations, des exercices et des discussions, s’est concentrée en particulier sur la manière de traiter professionnellement et respectueusement les familles touchées par les disparitions.
