Content Creation for Peacebuilding

Following communication between CPI and one of the most influential young content creators in Tal Afar, Mohammed Al-Qasim, a plan was set up by the Cordoba Cultural Café (CCC) to film episodes of a series at the CCC venue. The series is called “Tobla Mamlaka” (The United City). The first episode, filmed on 3 September 2023, is about ‘Positive Outlook’, with the aim of promoting citizenship and social cohesion within the city of Tal Afar. Mohammed Al-Qasim has more than 13,000 followers on his Facebook page and has praised the CCC’s efforts in Tal Afar. He is using the cafe’s hall to shoot this series with the help of the CCC team. One of the aims of this initiative is to promote the use of the Turkmen language by communicating in Turkmen in the filmed videos, with Arabic translation.
