Workshop: Transforming Conflicts with Religious Dimensions, Zurich 2009

About the workshop

The Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva (IHEID) and the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) are organizing a workshop to map and link institutions working on the transformation of conflicts in which actors are separated by fundamentally different conceptions of society, informed by religion and/or value systems and ideology.

The international workshop will be held on 27-28 April 2009, in Zurich/ Switzerland.

The purpose of the workshop is to map institutions, organizations and individuals working in this field and to compare their approaches to conflict transformation.

Contributions to the workshop will be published online and there will be the possibility to publish amended contributions in an edited report.

Thought will also be given to the use of synergies and to possibilities for cooperation (e.g. in the field of research, training, operational activities).
